Kill. Me. Now.

As most of you already know I have depression and have had quite the horrendous time trying to find a prescription that works for me. About last March-ish I started taking Cymbalta, and it seemed to be working pretty well. Until recently that is. I have been noticing drastic changes in my mood, and switching from such extreme highs to extreme lows that I knew that it was time, once again to change. I did some research about quitting Cymbalta and most of the websites suggested to quit cold turkey because tapering off can cause your body to go into shock. Yikes right?

Well today is day four of being off my prescription. To say its been hard is quite the understatement. The withdrawal symptoms are pretty freaky. Here's a list of some of the side effects I found online from going off this drug:

Suicidal thoughts

Nausea

Vomiting

Diarrhea

Dizziness

Fainting

Head Knocks (which I guess is some sort of brain spasm?)

Severe headaches or migraines

Sudden mood swings

Sore throat

And flu like symptoms.

And that is just from going OFF this crazy drug. It makes me wonder what the freaking heck was I putting into my body?! Fortunately for me I am not experiencing ALL of the symptoms but I am experiencing quite a few of them and it has been a living hell to put it frankly.

Can I just say- I am so sick of doctors. I swear they just write you any old prescription they can to just get rid of you and on your way so they'll have more time for more patients which of course means more money for them. Its now their job to sale drugs rather than actually help people. At least that's what it feels like to me anyway. I mean who in their right mind would actually prescribe someone a drug like that?? Its scary. You know what else is scary? All the commercials that start with "if you or a loved one has taken such and such drug and are experiencing such and such symptoms, you may just have a case so call our law offices..."

I don't think I trust doctors. Maybe im being paranoid. But that's probably just another side affect if Cymbalta withdrawals...
